Drinking water use restrictions in Málaga city
Málaga City Council maintains restrictions on the use of drinking water. It is prohibited to hose down streets (except with low-consumption pressure washers), fill private swimming pools (except for new constructions or rehabilitations), water gardens, public or private parks, and golf courses with drinking water (survival irrigation of trees, shrubs, and plants is allowed once a week where there is no access to reclaimed water), wash cars outside authorized establishments, and operate ornamental fountains without a closed water circuit.
