Data sources & attributions
Much of what you see here rests on open data and on photos other people published under a free licence. This page names every one of those sources, what we use it for and under which licence — because the licences ask for exactly that, and because you should know what this is built on.
Maps and places
The map itself, and nearly everything we know about a place, comes from OpenStreetMap and from services built on OpenStreetMap — contributed by people mapping their own city.

Weather and environment
Weather, sea, air and warnings come from open, mostly governmental sources. What we make of them is ours; the measurements are not.

Photos
City and place photos come from free image sources. Photographer and licence travel with each individual image: in the app, the credit on a city's cover photo opens the full list of that city's photos.
