Good to know about Rhodes
- Tap water is technically drinkable across most of the island, but it has a very chlorinated and brackish taste, so locals often prefer bottled water for drinking. Source
- Nightlife peaks from mid-July to late August, especially on Bar Street in Rhodes New Town, but many venues also open for the season starting from May. Source
- For migratory bird watching, head to the Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes) in spring and autumn, but be aware that the butterflies themselves are less numerous during those periods. Source
