The 8th edition of the Bremer Zine Festival at Städtische Galerie Bremen, featuring over 70 exhibitors from Bremen, Germany, and worldwide. Showcasing a diverse selection of zines including queer, political, poetry, comics, music fanzines, and personal narratives. The theme for this year is 'Science'. Opening hours: Friday 2 PM - 7 PM, Saturday & Sunday 11 AM - 7 PM.

Shopping Sunday for Freimarkt
A shopping Sunday takes place to mark the closing weekend of the Freimarkt in Bremen City. Shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as the small Freimarkt on the market square, will be open from 1 PM to 6 PM. The Freimarkt itself runs from October 16 to November 1, 2026.
All Saints' Day (Allerheiligen)
All Saints' Day is not a public holiday in Bremen, unlike in some other German states. Shops and offices are generally open as usual.

Fibeln als Spiegel der Gesellschaft - Exhibition Opening
An exhibition showcasing historical first readers from various European countries in comparison, a cooperative project initiated by the School Museum in Riga. The Bremen School Museum is participating, presenting Bremen primers and contributions from other European museums. The opening is on October 27th at 5 PM.
