How we rank places
Places and events are sorted for you from these, roughly in this order of importance:
- Where and when. Distance, opening hours, the day you picked, and the weather.
- What you're into. Interests you picked in Your vibe, and ones you added from a suggestion. What you picked yourself counts most.
- What you did. Places you saved, marked Been there, or said Not for me to. Searches count a little, and only while search history is on. Places you only looked at don't count.
- People you know. Places your contacts saved or recommended.
- Quality. Ratings and how often people like you saved a place.
We always mix in some popular and nearby places, and sometimes something different, so the map never shows only one kind of place.
Every recommended place says why. Change what you're into, see what we learned, or switch learning or personalisation off in Your vibe › How your vibe learns. With personalisation off, places are sorted by distance and rating only.
Sensitive answers (faith and food, health, access, queer-friendly) are used only if you said yes, and never shown to anyone else unless you switch that on.
