All Saints' Day (Allerheiligen) - Public Holiday
All Saints' Day is a public holiday in Bavaria. As it falls on a Sunday, most shops and offices will be closed as usual for a Sunday. It is also considered a 'silent holiday' (stiller Feiertag), prohibiting public dance events. Families traditionally visit cemeteries to decorate graves with flowers and candles. Many bakeries will be open in the morning, selling traditional seasonal sweets like 'Seelenbrezn'. Public transport may operate on a modified Sunday/holiday schedule.
