It is also a 'stiller Tag' (silent day), where public entertainment events that do not conform to the serious character of the day are forbidden. Many people visit cemeteries to remember and honor deceased loved ones, decorate graves, and attend memorial services. Bakeries and flower shops may have limited opening hours.
