Addo Elephant National Park in South Africa's Eastern Cape is a sprawling nature reserve renowned for its thriving elephant population. Established in 1931 to protect a mere eleven remaining elephants, it represents a notable conservation achievement. The park's diverse landscapes encompass dense thicket, the Zuurberg Mountains, coastal dunes, and a marine protected area, creating varied habitats. This unique environment supports the "Big Seven," which includes elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale, and great white shark, alongside species like the endemic Addo flightless dung beetle.
